Guardian of the Reef
Project type
Reef and Queen Angel Fish, acrylic on canvas
Date
May, 2026
Location
Big Pine Key, Florida
Morningstar Art presents Guardian of the Reef. This was a Plant A Million Corals Commission, an original 16x20 acrylic painting created to celebrate a milestone moment for coral restoration in the Florida Keys.
The artwork was designed to honor the foundation’s mission and the vibrant marine life it works tirelessly to protect. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony with the Lower Keys Chamber of Commerce, the painting was auctioned to raise funds for the next phase of greenhouse development, allowing the piece to directly contribute to ongoing restoration initiatives.
This project reflects Morningstar Art’s commitment to supporting environmental stewardship in the Keys and celebrating the organizations that help preserve the underwater world that inspires so much of our work.
